Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in a week-long Bikeability course, run by exert trainers from the Department for Transport’s national cycle training provider.
The children learnt how to maintain their bikes, glide, control their bikes, pedal and be aware of their surroundings. All in the traffic-free safety of the school playground.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and now have greater confidence to enjoy cycling safely.
The Wonderdome landed at Saracens Bell Lane today, to take us on a trip through our solar system and beyond.
Children were amazed during an immersive experience into the wonders of space with our fabulous presenter Matt.
Year 5, who are currently studying Space in their science unit, and Year 6, who studied this topic last year, got to boost their knowledge to new heights whilst some of our more sensory seekers enjoyed a relaxing visual journey through the cosmos.
A generous donation from The Priory Foundation has funded new chromebooks to enhance the children’s learning.
The trolleys purchased at the same time mean the laptops are stored safely and readily accessible.
Perhaps you could ask your son or daughter how they’ve been using the chromebooks in their lessons – I’m sure they’ll be able to teach you something new!
After school drop-off on 16th October we welcomed friends and families to join us for tea and cake and a chance to get to know one another.
We were delighted to receive donations of exquisitie cakes from school families as well as local community champions Apollo Bakeries and Hyper Food Centre.
Our coffee morning, and after-school cake sale, raised an incredible £368 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that supports the 3 million people in the UK living with cancer.
Please check our website and Class Dojo regularly for news of future opportunities to meet together.
On Sunday 6th October our pupils enjoyed the experience of waving flags on the pitch at StoneX Stadium as Saracens and Exeter Chiefs players ran out before the match.
This was a wonderful way to introduce our school to the thousands of Saracens supporters in the stands. As well as watching a short video about our school on the giant screens, the rugby fans could also read about our school in the match programmes. Click here to see the pages a stadium full of supports read that day.
