Play

At Saracens Bell Lane we are committed to providing high quality opportunities for Play for our children.

Over 15% of the school day is dedicated to play with an extensive breadth of research supporting the importance of play in children’s skills development. Some skills are best learned through play including risk management, motor skills, cooperation and negotiation.

We provide a range of play opportunities for your children which includes messy play, water and sand play, lots of physical activity and movement based play as well as den building and loose parts play. These activities are child led and we engage the children via regular assemblies and in the playground encouraging and supporting them to employ dynamic risk management in play.

We ask all parents to support us in providing the best possible play opportunities by ensuring that there child has a suitable coat; we will aim to be outside whenever possible, including when there is light rain.
